I know that we are living in a time when everyone seems to be on a “QUEST FOR SUCCESS”. That’s a good thing. However, all too often, we have great plans, set goals, take off running out the gate, only to find ourselves back at the starting line again. I know, that’s so sad I could cry.
You may have had a few “false starts” (that’s the energy of getting yourself all revved up only to be derailed, and crash, before you get out the gate good). This start/stop cycle can leave you confused, bewildered, depressed, and full of self-loathing and sabotage.
You will begin to ask questions like:
- “What’s wrong with me?”
- “Should I be doing this?”
- “What am I doing wrong?”
- “What should I do next?”
- “How do I keep ending up here?”
- “Why can’t I make this work?”
Before you realize it, you are totally confused and a confused mind does nothing. If you’re confused, you’re in fear, when you are in fear you become immobile. When you are immobile nothing is moving. You are not growing and God is not able to use you.
So, how do you break the “Start/Stop” Cycle? I’m so glad you asked. Here are 3 Spiritual Success Principles to help you break free, stay free, and move from being stuck to stepping forward and fulfilling destiny!
Spiritual Success Principle #1 – Clarity
You may have heard me say this many times, “Clarity is King!” The very first thing to do is to find some time to get quiet. Get very still and ask the Holy Spirit to assist you. On a sheet of paper write in bold letters, “Letter to the Holy Spirit about _____. Fill in what you are confused or concerned about. Write the letter in specific details about:
- What you don’t want
- How you don’t want to feel
- What you do want
- How you want to feel, etc.
Wait for a response and then write down what you hear.
Spiritual Success Principle # 2- Commit
Commitment is more than just making a decision. Commitment is a quality decision that says, “no matter what I am going to stay in integrity and complete this.” This is the stage where you will have to manage your inner state on a daily basis. Your ego mind will try to take you out. This is where you are used to giving up and backing down. But commit to moving forward; stay with it no matter what!
Spiritual Success Principle #3 – Create
There is so much untapped potential within you. You don’t have to compete with nor compare yourself to anyone. When you tap into your creative mind, you become a co-creator with God.
You still have approximately 229 days left in this year. Don’t forget there is an open door to create more in 2014. When you get clear you will “Create from your Core.” That is when the real fun begins.
Commit to moving past the start line and on to the finish line with each project. You will reach your goals and fulfill your assignments with joy!
Here’s To Your Spiritual Success!!!
