We have heard it said over and over again, “See yourself the way God sees you.” It now appears that those words may have just become another cliche’–Just something to say because it sounds good.
We have heard it said over and over again, “See yourself the way God sees you.” It now appears that those words may have just become another cliche’–Just something to say because it sounds good.
Today I want to ask you a question–How well can you see you? in other words, what is your self-concept/ Self-imagine? Let’s take a closer look at what I mean.
What is self-concept?
Self-concept is what you understand about yourself. It is not the same as self-image or self-consciousness.
Your self-concept includes:
- Your social character or abilities
- Your physical appearance and your body image
- Your thinking
You may be wondering what does this have to do with who God says I am.
The way you see yourself has everything to do with your ability to be clear about your purpose and how you show up and be who you are meant to be.
Take a few minutes today to consider what your self-image is portraying. Your outer world is a reflection of our inner world. Your self-concept and your self-image will be the deciding factor as to what you will be able to manifest.
Your self- image includes:
- What you think you look like
- How you see your personality
- What kind of person you think you are
- What you believe others think of you
- How much you like yourself or you think others like you
- The status you feel you have and more.
It’s fine to say “see yourself as God sees you”, but at the end of the day, you must be honest about the way you see yourself before you can begin to correct the error in your self-concept and self-image.
Here’s to knowing that you are awesome… You are a super-being… and most of all–You are loved!
Helping you create a clear path forward,
