This week in Early Morning Empowerment the Deliverance Drill Assignment was to “Weed your Garden”– that is the garden of your mind.
Your mind is the place where all the children of your dreams dwell and you must take care of them, they are a gift from God.
When weeds are allowed to grow in a garden the presence of weeds will prohibit what was intended to grow to die. I call it the “Creepy Crap”. You know all the negative scripts that play constantly in your head telling you what’s not possible, what you don’t have, why it can’t work,etc.
Remember “Energy flows where attention goes!” If you don’t want it to grow and expand, don’t put your focused attention on it. There are 5 major things you should give attention to when weeding your garden:
- Negative thoughts
- Critical thoughts
- Judgmental thoughts
- Non-producing thoughts
- Idle thoughts
Instead, you want to think about:
- Things that are lovely
- Things that are praiseworthy
- Things that have virtue
- Things That are pure
- Things that are the real truth
- Things that will produce your desired harvest
- Things that are of a good report
The Bible tells us in Psalms 16:11:
You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
Beloved, don’t miss out on the peace of God that passes all understanding. Come into the presence of God and let Him show you the right path that will lead you to life!
