START SMALL… FINISH BIG!
It has been said by John Maxwell, “The key to your success or failure is hidden in your daily agenda”. That statement is so true that we hardly notice that the things we do, say, think, and feel on a daily basis are shaping our lives.
Many times we are doing a culmination of many little things to arrive at the results we are getting. But instead of realizing this, we are crying to God for a different reality, a different result, not knowing that in many cases, we are creating the very thing we want to get delivered from. One of the things that I hear the Holy Spirit shouting to the Body of Christ is to “Wake-up and pay attention”! Pay attention to what is going on in your life on a daily basis.
We have just crossed over into this New Year and I am wondering if you are trying to start out so big that you are already losing sight of where you are trying to go? When you are trying to do too much too soon, instead of having clarity, confusion sets in, instead of faith, doubt and discouragement sets in draining your energy and creativity.
I encourage you to start small. Great things are nothing more than a lot of little things, little actions steps taken on a daily basis that will bring you to your desired end. Start small. Make sure you incorporate these things daily:
- Time alone with God
- Time alone with Yourself to give to yourself
- Time to sit and think
- Time to work on your craft
- Time to give to others
- Time to plan the next step
- Time to take the next step
- Time to rest
If you start SMALL you can end BIG! Why don’t we agree together that we will continue to take small steps every day? Each and every day we will stay focused, enthusiastic, and grateful.
Remember… “The race is not given to the swift… But to the one the endure to the end… reaching the finish line.
