Here we are, getting ready to close out another year!  I sincerely pray 2014 was a great year for you. 

If you are anything like me, I know you are sick of hearing the “same ole’-same ole’!!!” I am not going to tell you to get ready for 2015 to be a great year, (Although know it is!)  Only you can make the decision to go forward despite what may or may not have happened for you in 2014 or, you can stay in the same place, doing the same things, which will no doubt produce more of the same ole’ thing.  You must choose, go forward or do nothing!

If it is one thing I know for sure it’s this–CHANGE IS DIFFICULT!  It’s not impossible, but it is difficult.  You have to be honest about this if you are going to see your dreams manifest.  No matter how difficult change may be you can’t stop trying!

 

WHY DOES CHANGE SEEM TO BE SO DIFFICULT?

Change is difficult because the way your ego/flesh mind works it wants to stay comfortable and experience the least amount of pain possible.  Let me be clear, I am sure that none of us likes to feel pain, but you can get to a place where you learn how to manage your mind, your emotions, and your responses.  You learn the difference between a reaction and a response in order to minimize pain.

MINDSET PRINCIPLE FOR THIS WEEK

There is a difference between reaction and response!

• Reaction: You react to the situation with the same level of energy that caused the situation.  In other words, if the cause was anger you RE-ACT in anger.  If the cause was rooted in selfishness, immaturity, cruelty, etc., you react in like manner. You’re reacting to what was given to you.
• Response:  You take a step back, you pause, and you tap into your spirit as ask for guidance.  Then you RESPOND. You are coming from a totally different place, creating a different climate, which will create a more positive result.  You are responding as the Holy Spirit instructs.  Sometimes people won’t understand your RESPONSE because they are on the level of REACT!
